About the Patient Safety Congress

Patient safety entails change, and change must be sustained. In past conferences, we have discussed the basics and principles of patient safety, translating evidence-based patient safety interventions into practice, and safeguarding the interests of both patients and healthcare workers.

The 4th Patient Safety Congress presents updates on these topics, highlighting the importance of continuing to advance patient safety culture, generating innovations, and optimizing technology to

ensure the sustainability of patient safety activities in various healthcare settings.

The 4th Patient Safety Congress will feature keynote lectures, panel discussions in fireside chat format, and simultaneous sessions aligned with the strategic objectives of the WHO Global Patient Safety Action Plan 2021-2030 with a special highlight on the 2024 World Patient Safety Day theme on Diagnostic Safety.

Entitled “IMPACT: IMproving Patient safety through Advancements, Culture, and Technology,” the congress will showcase topics on the technical and adaptive aspects of preventing error and harm in healthcare. Panel discussions and simultaneous sessions will include representatives from different stakeholders emphasizing the collaborative and team approach to ensure quality and safe healthcare.

The 4th Patient Safety Congress welcomes participants to share their work – research, projects, innovative work, and proposals for quality improvement in different healthcare settings.

May we all work towards sustainable and contagious change towards

quality and safe healthcare for the Filipino patient.
